Fashion show, Pissouri Bay stroll and being Six months old.

On Friday evening we popped down to the Yialos taverna in Pissouri Bay to watch a fashion show put on by "The Clothing lounge".
All the clothes were modeled by the local ladies of Pissouri and they did an outstanding job.

One of the joys of living in Cyprus is the mild Winters we have.  An early morning stroll along Pissouri bay is a lovely way to start a Sunday.

Back in South Wales, one Special little girl, Cari, celebrated being Six months old.

Paphos Auto Sprint and Winter Thunderstorms

On Sunday, after Mandy's return from Sweden we decided to get a breath of fresh air  on Mandria beachfront, what we did not know was that the Paphos Auto Sprint was taking place on the beach front.

So although there were clouds of dust everywhere we walked over to the Sprint and watched these high performance cars scream along the dirt tracks.

To wash out the dust we strolled over to the beach bar for a refreshing drink and to catch a few rays of November sunshine.

The first winter storms rolled in on Sunday/Monday with torrential rain and hailstones, but as usual after a few hours the sun returned.

Mandy's visit to Sweden, Green Trees and a Decking Job

Mandy left Larnaca airport for a week's visit to visit her sons in Sweden. Arriving in Stockholm the first thing Mandy noticed was the drop in temperature from 24 degrees in Cyprus down to 2 degrees in Sweden.

After an overnight stay on Arlanda airport Mandy took the train up to the coastal town of Gavle. The trip also gave Mandy a chance to meet up with friends that she had not seen for a number of years.

The Olive grove outside our home took on a strange look today as the trees were treated with a chemical to help stop disease.

This week Rob helped Bryan add a decking area around the pool, luckily the weather was superb and they finished the job in six days.

Cake and Coffee and a Night at The Hillview

The Pissouri bay cafe was the venue for a cake and coffee afternoon to raise funds in aid of Dr. Yiota Demetriou - The Dancing Queen Foundation. We had a brilliant outcome! 430.75€. Well done to Raya for organizing the event.

As the evenings draw in we made our way over to the Hillview restaurant to see a show by the highly talented Dominc Holmes. The food, as ever, was superb and along with a number of friends we had a lovely night filled with music and laughter.
